Total Environment Centre is proud to announce the second COOL PLANET short (short) film competition,in association with the Pratt Foundation.
This year's theme encourages young filmmakers to ponder what the planet could be like in 10 or 20 or 30 years time. We have reached a fork in the road. Will the planet end up with the biodiversity of a piece of toast, or will humans manage to change their ways and revegetate, regenerate and re-green the planet before the current wave of mass extinction reaches the point of no return? What can each of us do to affect the future? Filmmakers should chose to explore the theme as either a Gruen Transfer style campaign film, or a more lateral act of imaginative storytelling using music, animation, rap, dance, comedy or drama.
TEC has been advocating for the protection of Australia's natural assets and biodiversity for almost 40 years. Make sure you look up our campaigns, including information on global warming and solutions like green energy and energy efficiency, on our website www.tec.org.au
